But this time, he didn't go it alone; instead he was accompanied by mum, Cherie and mystery girlfriend, Ali. Blair Jr then schmoozed with Anne Robinson and Kate Winslet – daddy would have been proud. Star-of-the-evening-in-plunging-Dolce, Kate was much taken with the Blairs, posing first with Euan and then making Cherie laugh uproariously. Then it was back to the tiresome business of not commenting on her relationship with Sam Mendes and posing with co-stars Dame Judi – who presumably had set the video on record for her BAFTA love-fest – Jim Broadbent and Hugh Bonneville, who was caught attempting to add his name to the main poster credits.
