O'seas preems leave fall springing forward

'Enigma' clearly hits

In its world preem, "Enigma," the Michael Apted-helmed spy thriller toplining Dougray Scott and Kate Winslet, snared a sterling $1.1 million on 270 in the U.K., drawing especially well in the West End (pic is slated for the U.S. in January via Manhattan Pictures). It came in fractionally below fellow frosh "Mike Bassett: England Manager," football mockumentary featuring local TV identity Ricky Tomlinson.
