Alan Parker, director of successful titles such as Angela's Ashes (1999), The Commitments (1991), Mississippi Burning (1988), and Midnight Express (1978), has chosen Barcelona as one of the settings for his new movie. Today the filming of The Life of David Gale will leave the Liceu to be on an interior set and tomorrow Parker will be filming in diverse streets of the Gothic neighborhood.

Parker has almost finished the movie, in which only the Barcelona sequences remain to be fimed, which will serve as a flashback to introduce the plot.

The Life of David Gale counts the history of David Gale, a Texas professor that defends the abolition of the death penalty and is accused of the abduction and murder of another activist.
