SLAMMER TIME: Just call him another Dead Man Walking. Yes, Kevin Spacey walks the green mile in "The Life of David Gale." "I play a popular college philosophy professor who is one of the leading opponents of the death penalty in Texas," Spacey tells this column.
"Suddenly, he's accused of murdering a colleague and he gets sent to death row." Alan Parker directs and Kate Winslet co-stars. "Alan really gave this film a political center. I think the movie takes the capital punishment issue and flips it on its head," Spacey says.
