HUNTSVILLE - Ever dreamed of being a movie star? Well, your opportunity is here.
Registration for parts in the Universal Studios film "The Life of David Gale," starring Kevin Spacey of "K-PAX" fame and Kate Winslet of "Titanic" and Laura Linney of "The Truman Show" will be held Saturday, Nov. 17, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Express, 201 West Hillpark Circle off Highway 30 at I-45.
Filming will be in Huntsville after Thanksgiving.
The director will be Alan Parker who has directed such hits as "Evita," "Mississippi Burning," Midnight Express" and "Pink Floyd The Wall."
According to information from the casting department, the search is on for "real people, new faces and interesting characters. Adults of any ethnicity, all ages and all types and looks are needed." No acting experience is necessary, but applicants must be over age 18.
Auditions will be held for speaking roles, non-speaking roles and extras.
All positions on the film set are paid with rates from $75 per day minimum up to the Screen Actors Guild rate of $636 per day for principal speaking roles.
