Kate fits the part of a mum-to-be

Pregnant star Kate Winslet slipped into a pair of tight snakeskin pants as she made one of her first public appearances since announcing she was expecting a child. The 24-year-old star was at the premiere of her latest movie Holy Smoke in London with husband Jim Threapleton at her side.

Asked about how she was coping with her impending motherhood, she said: "I've been all right. I was a little bit sick but I'm fine now."

The actress was wearing flared blue and brown snakeskin trousers, topped off with a figure hugging black leather jacket.

"There's no bump yet, I want my bump," she joked as she arrived.

Her 26-year-old husband was wearing a wide pinstriped suit and sported a light beard at the screening in the Odeon West End cinema in Leicester Square.

Winslet is due to give birth to their first child in September.
