Synopsis: An idealistic southern politician, “Boss” Willie Stark (Sean Penn), loosely based on Governor Huey Long of Louisiana, appeals to the common man whilst effectively playing dirty politics, slowly becomes corrupted by the system. All the King‘s Men‘ debuts in Big Easy Hundreds of screaming fans on Saturday greeted stars Sean Penn , Jude Law and Kate Winslet at the city‘s debut of “All the King‘s Men,” much of which was filmed here just months before Hurricane Katrina struck.
All the Kings Men cast in Toronto “It’s a drama that is about so many things and it has this very strong political backdrop but to me it is full of people who are trying to achieve something and trying to find themselves and find their future and who they really are and who they want to be,” said Winslet.
But with this update, Steven Zaillian dilutes the power of such a fascinating creation by tilting the balance towards other figures in the story, fracturing the focus and undermining some of its potential resonance for contemporary viewers.

All The King’s Men Not as Oscar-Worthy as Expected Next year’s Oscar race for best picture was supposed to begin and end with the first public screening anywhere of the most awaited film of the year and the presumed winner-to-be, All the King’s Men. But I think the race just became wide open instead.
