Writing to Kate Winslet Our little guide for writing fanmail The Address Kate Winslet Note: I would not recommend writing to any other address except this one. The others are older, and do not receive replies. How-To This information presented here is a combination of information received from those who have been successful in getting autographs. It isn’t a sure guarantee, but is the BEST way known to get an autograph and for Kate to receive your mail. What You’ll Need:
Getting It Done: The Letter. You should write about your admiration for her, congratulations if you have any, and politely request an autograph. The letter should be one page, and if you feel your writing isn’t very legible (readable) then you should consider sending a typed letter. Keep it brief. When writing your letter keep in mind that Ms. Winslet receives lots of fan mail and would like to read them. However lengthy messages are likely to not be read. So, be brief. Make sure it is from the heart, and to the point. You may wish to have someone else proof-read it before sending it. Next you should get it together. Write, or print, your address and attach it to the envelope. If requesting an autograph, make sure it is an envelope that an 8×10 (inch) photograph will fit inside of without folding or bending. If sending the letter in a small envelope you will need to fold the self-addressed envelope to get it inside. Address the envelope to Ms. Winslet with the address listed above, be sure it is legible. Fold your letter and put it in the envelope, along with the self-addressed envelope. The Post Office. You will need to go to the Post Office to purchase two International Reply Coupons before sending it away. These allow Ms. Winslet to return the mail to you the easiest way possible. Not all post offices carry them, so ask for them by name, and where you can purchase two. Place your IRC’s (International Reply Coupons) inside, seal the envelope, and you are ready to mail. Waiting: Don’t expect the answer tomorrow. Be patient. As you can read below, two months is how long he had to wait. So, don’t expect it next week, or even next month. Give her and her assistants time to get the autograph signed and sent back to you. Don’t take it personally when it doesn’t come back as soon as you hoped. Just keep writing, and you will have some success. (For more info see links.) Related Links Fan Experiences Have you received response from Kate?
