Catch a Tiger by the Tale

THE GREAT Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus is in New York until April 13, and this time the event is enjoying visits from big movie actors. "Titanic's" Kate Winslet has attended twice. The first time, she wore a red wig, while her current co-star, Jim Carrey, wearing a beanie, did a scene to represent the annual elephant walk through the Queens Midtown Tunnel for their film "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind."

Kate's second visit was in Madison Square Garden with her entire family. They went backstage to meet Mark Oliver Gebel and his four-legged performers in "The Greatest Show on Earth." Kate is doing preliminary research for a movie on the life of tiger trainer Mabel Stark, based on Robert Hough's book "The Final Confession of Mabel Stark," to be published this spring.
