MUM-to-be Kate Winslet proves she's still a big star during a shopping trip yesterday.

Kate, 24, who is taking a break from filming, wasn't shy about showing off her blossoming bump under a tight T-shirt.

Her cropped trousers also drew attention to her swollen ankles - an inevitable side-effect of the pregnancy.

But the star of Titanic, who is set to give birth within the next week, is philosophical about her condition. And husband, director Jim Threapleton, 26, has said he wants her to keep the bump permanently.

Kate said: "It's meant to be the most sexy time of your life, but I've not felt that at all. I've sat watching my feet swell up."

The couple have also been busy preparing their riverside hideaway in the Home Counties, which they bought recently.
