A BRISBANE NEWSPAPER

Kate Winslet, Titanic golden girl is coming to Sydney to star in Holy Smoke, a new film to be directed by The Piano Oscar-winner Jane Campion.

Vuluptuous Kate won the hearts of the world's chubby set when she refused to diet herself into sylphdom to become a movie queen.  But now we know why the star likes to be seen in full bloom. Her aunt, Tessa Bridges, has let the bagels out of the bag!

Tessa, who runs a trendy Sydney deli called 501 on Crown, says cooking and eating are in Kate's genes.  Tessa admits to being a fang and says her sister Sally, Kate's mum, is one too.

So guess where Kate will be spending her time-off in Sydney?  You got it...noshing in 501.  And it's odds-on that her boyfriend, assistant director Jim Threapleton, will be fanging out with her.

Tessa reckons Kate's new-found fame has made her the target of celebrity pests and she needs hunky Jim to keep them at bay.  And Aunt Tess is not surprised that her niece is such a good actress: theatre's a family passion.  "Our family life was all about doing little play readings and our Christmas times, to this day, are all about putting on charades."
