Winslet at the Cardboard Citizens Dinner

February 16, 2008

They make loads of money and live in the lap of luxury, so it’s always nice to see celebrities giving back to the community and helping the less-fortunate. And Kate Winslet showed her charitable colors last night at the Cardboard Citizens Dinner.

The event was held at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in England’s capital city of London. And this British babe was turning heads everywhere she went.

Kate opted for an ultra-chic all-black ensemble, including a silky black shirt, complete with neckerchief, and slim-fit black trousers.

As for the cause she was supporting, Cardboard Citizens (formed in 1991) is the UK’s only homeless people’s professional theatre company and the leading practitioner of Forum Theatre in the UK. They work with people who have experience of, or who are at risk of, becoming homeless.
